The two SCDG practices become 42 North Dental’s 11th and 12th supported practices in Connecticut
Waltham, MA- 42 North Dental, a leading Dental Support Organization in New England, finalized a partnership with Southern Connecticut Dental Group (SCDG) earlier this month. SCDG is comprised of two multi-specialty dental practices with locations in Ansonia and Southbury, CT and boasts over 60 years of caring for the community. These two practices join 10 currently supported practices in Connecticut with locations in Bloomfield, Branford, Enfield, Hamden, Manchester, Meriden, New Haven, Newington, Torrington, and Woodbridge. With the addition of Southern Connecticut Dental Group, 42 North Dental now supports 12 offices in Connecticut and 61 dental practices consisting of 17 practice brands throughout New England.
Southern Connecticut Dental Group, led by Dr. Jay Dworkin and Dr. Ira Stein, was founded in Ansonia in 1953 by Dr. Dworkin’s father, Dr. Joseph Dworkin. Started as a small single doctor office, the practice grew in 1982 to include a second location in Southbury to better serve the community and provide expert dental care to the Lower Naugatuck River Valley. Dr. Dworkin is the past president of the Naugatuck Valley Dental Society and is active in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Fairfield County Dental Club. Dr. Stein hold equally impressive credentials as a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Southern Connecticut Dental Group was named “Best Dentist” by Connecticut Magazine for 3 consecutive years in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
